Description
  • 3QC is serving as the Commissioning Authority for the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC). The new center combines a transportation gateway and mixed-use activity center on 16-acre site owned by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and the City of Anaheim. The transportation element of ARTIC is a three-level facility accommodating passenger arrivals, departures and transfers with supporting retail, restaurants and passenger services. The facility includes a Metrolink/Amtrak concourse and an under building bus transit center. The structure features a180-foot archway offering expansive skyline views and will stand as a landmark throughout the region.

    3QC is providing both LEED® fundamental and enhanced commissioning services including; the design intent and basis of design documentation review, a commissioning plan, inclusion of the commissioning goals in the construction documents, verification of systems installation, functional performance testing, training and documentation of all maintenance and operations materials and staff, and a final commissioning report.

Description
  • The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) maintains and operates the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) system, which provides commuter rail passenger service between the City of Stockton and the City of San Jose. In order to provide public transportation services, SJRRC maintains their current ACE passenger rail fleet in the UPRR Stockton Rail Yard, which is considered a temporary facility. The ACE Maintenance Facility Project includes the development of a new maintenance facility for ACE’s commuter rail passenger train. The main building contains the maintenance operations, stores, employee common areas and administrative offices. In addition to the maintenance building, the project includes a Service and Inspection canopy and a train washer. As the LEED® Enhanced Commissioning Agent, 3QC’s role includes development and implementation of the Commissioning Plan, design development and construction document review, development of the Commissioning Specifications, Construction Submittal Review for conformance with design intent, pre-functional and functional testing of installed systems, Final Commissioning Report and One-Year Warranty Review.

Description
  • 3QC is working with the Port of Long Beach as both the Port-wide commissioning agent and LEED® consultant. There are two significant projects including four major buildings as part of the Pier G Terminal Redevelopment Program at the Port of Long Beach. We are providing enhanced commissioning for these projects including a new Administration building, a Maintenance building and two Operations buildings as well as a small driver services building, temporary guard shacks, and associated employee/visitor parking. Construction complies with the LEED® requirements for project waste diversion percentages, certified post-consumer recycled materials, certified wood and local/regional building material specifications amongst other sustainable building specifications.

Description
  • 3QC is working with the Port of Long Beach as both the Port-wide commissioning agent and LEED® consultant. The Harbor Plaza development is a cornerstone of the Port’s commitment to sustainability and includes a new administration building, maintenance and repair facilities and a new central plant. The 9 story Headquarters building is a LEED® Platinum building incorporating the latest energy efficient technologies and control systems including integrated day lighting, solar shades and photovoltaic panels, an under-floor air distribution system on eight floors and fan wall air handling units. The central utility plant is a state of the art high performance plant with a thermal energy ice storage system designed to reduce peak demand loads. 3QC’s commissioning efforts include the five electronic control systems designed to maintain building operations and efficiently manage these energy systems. 3QC is also assisting the Port with development and implementation of their sustainability program.
